Which Protocol Does My VoIP Provider Use?

With the exception of Skype and NetZero Voice, almost all VoIP providers now use the internationally accepted SIP open protocol standard in their networks including FreeWorldDialup, GizmoProject, SipDiscount, SipGate, SipPhone, Stanaphone, VoIPBuster, VoIPCheap, VoIPStunt and others. A select few also choose to support the IAX2 protocol used by Asterisk PBX systems.

The required datafill configurations for SIP providers are all very similar and we have provided a number of sample configuration examples for popular VoIP providers like FreeWorldDialup, GizmoProject, VoIPBuster, VoIPCheap, VoIPStunt, etc... above to help point you in the right direction. Please contact your VoIP provider directly for specific technical configuration assistance as required.
